Carers Poverty Protest Interview

We spoke to one of the marchers to find out why they where there.

The aim of this Protest, as well as reminding the incoming Government that carers are not going to go away, is for an increased Carers Allowance to be paid to all carers of 35 hours plus per week and the said allowance to be a disregarded income in respect of all other benefits. Christine Steel, chairperson for the 2009 protest has again lead the 2010 protest.
