Hypothyroidism Video Blog

For those of you who have been involved in previous patient experience research blogs you will notice that this one is rather different

We asked Sue to talk about the history of her diagnosis of hypothyroidism and her discovery that she has a serious allergy to Thyroxine treatments.

She also talks about her ongoing battle with obesity and general weight problems.

To see Sue speak on her experience please click on the video below.

We are very interested in your responses to Sue’s story and we would like to ask you the following questions?

  • How does the story of your diagnosis compare with Sue’s?
  • What kinds of treatment did you receive and did you have any issues taking Thyroxine?
  • Currently are you still having weight issues?
  • What advice would you give to somebody who has just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism?

Obviously these are just suggestions so please bring up anything you think other readers of the blog will find of interest. Please do include links to any site you have found helpful.

Remember, a blog is really like having a conversation with lots of people at the same time and so please check back on the blog to see what others have said so that if you would like to add to their thoughts you can.

To take part, all you need to do is scroll down to the comments area, type in a nickname of your choice and then put your comments into the box. We look forward to reading your comments and, of course, thank you very much for your input!
