Psoriasis Blog

Psoriasis is a common skin condition affecting 2-3% of the population of the United Kingdom. Psoriasis can occur at any point in one’s life, affecting children, teenagers, adults and older people alike.

Psoriasis can impact many different aspects of people’s lives – it is not only coping with the treatment that can be difficult but also coping with other people’s reactions to the skin changes.

The Patients Voice would like to get a better understanding of how you feel your condition has affected your lifestyle and the effect of treatments above and beyond the purely medical. We are interested in how the people around you (friends, family and colleagues) reacted to the changes and what kind of support you received.

In particular we are interested in the following questions:-

  • Do you feel your doctor is helping you cope with the physical symptoms and also your emotional ones?
  • How old were you when you were first diagnosed?
  • What types of treatments did you / are you following? For instance Fucibet cream? or puva therapy
  • How satisfied overall by the range of treatment options you were offered?

These questions are only a guide so please feel free to bring up any other issues that you consider are relevant to you.

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Belinda
