Relaxation – sharing your tips and secret

Welcome to our relaxation blog!

We are often told to “slow down”, “take it easy”, “chill out” or “wind down” especially if we suffer from a medical condition.  But we all know that this is easier said than done – especially with all the stresses and strains of a chronic illness.

We have decided to run this blog to allow the real experts share their tips for relaxing and improving mental well being!  And who are these experts?  Well actually it is you.

You know your bodies and you understand your medical condition better than anyone else even your physician or nurse we suspect!

That’s why we want you to share your relaxation secrets with other readers so we can all benefit and makes everyone’s life just a little bit better.

So we have just a few questions for you today:-
a) What is your main medical condition?
b) What technique do you use to relax?
c) Why did you start using this technique and when?
d) What other relaxation techniques have you tried?

Please feel free to use the comments section of this blog to ask any questions you may have about relaxation.  Thanks very much in advance for your help. Remember, a blog is really like having a conversation with lots of people at the same time and so please check back on the blog to see what others have said so that if you feel like adding to their thoughts you can.

I have Rheumitiod Arthritis. I also teach full time (junior high). I read to relax, something for funt that has NOTHING to do with work!!!  I also use a tens unit on my back if it’s tight with tension. A catnap never hurts either!!
